Zhiwei Hua is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and the District of Columbia. He specializes in commercial law and intellectual property litigation. On the commercial side, he has extensive experience serving as lead counsel for Chinese companies conducting IPOs on the NASDAQ. In the area of intellectual property law, he actively litigates cases in courts with jurisdiction over such matters, including the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
In addition, Mr. Hua is highly accomplished in legal research. Prior to receiving his Juris Doctor degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, he worked for the law school’s Social Justice Institute. His responsibilities included legal research, data organization, and publishing several articles in the Social Justice Journal. After graduation, he continued working at the Institute for another year, during which he participated in a research project on criminal sentencing practices in Cuyahoga County.
